요한계시록 1-3장 말씀 묵상

I know where you live-where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city-where Satan lives...Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan's so-called deep secrets (I will not impose any other burden on you): Only hold on to what you have until I come...He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. (요한계시록 2장 13, 24-25절 / 3장 6절)

 

요한계시록은 참 묵상하기 어렵다. 요한계시록을 집중적으로 들여다보는 사경회에 참석해서 큰 틀에서 이해를 했다고 생각은 하지만, 매일 묵상으로 하기엔 무겁고 어렵다. 이는 비유가 워낙 많기 때문이다.

그래서 그 안에서 우리의 현실과 직결되는 부분들을 묵상하자면, 분명한 것은 우리가 살고 있는 이 땅에서 추구되는 가치와 목표로 설정되는 것들은 하나님의 것이 아니란 사실이다. 인간 안에 왜곡된 창조되었을 때의 모습은 인간의 욕구와 욕망이 성경적이지 않은 것들을 추구하게 만든다. 계시록은 그것을 전제로 하고 있다. 

우리는 그 속에서 살아가고 버텨내야 한다. 그걸 잊어서는 안된다.
