He must not put oil or incense on it, because it is a sin offer.. 레위기 1-3장 말씀 묵상 이 부분에서는 하나님께 드리는 제사에 대한 절차가 설명된다. 그 과정의 가장 큰 특징은 제사는 아론의 아들이나 제사장들만이 드릴 수 있다는 것이다. 이는 왜 그랬을까? 개인적으로는 이 역시 하나님께서 당시의 문화에, 이집트 문화에 익숙한 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님을 하나님으로 받아들이고 기억하기 위함이 아니었을까 싶다. 당시 문화에서는 우월한 존재, 아무나 그 앞에 나가지 못하는 존재, 어느 정도는 두려운 존재여야 신으로, 절대적인 존재로 여겼을 것이기 때문이다. [누구나 하나님 앞으로 나올 수 있다]고 한다면, 신분제도가 명확했던 사회에 살았던 이스라엘 백성들은 그런 신을 받아들이지 못했을 것이다. 자신보다 우월하고, 자신에게 뭔가 영향력을 끼칠 수 있는 존재라고 인지하지 않는 이상, 그들은 하나님을 믿.. 출애굽기 37-40장 말씀 묵상 The Israelites had done all the work just as the LORD had commanded Moses. Moses inspected the work and saw that they had done it just as the LORD had commanded. So Moses blessed them. (출애굽기 39장 42-43절) 하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들이 하나님의 말씀에 따라, 순종하는 훈련을 시키고 싶으셨다는 것이 여기에서 드러난다. 모든 것을 하나님께서 하라고 하신대로 했다는 이스라엘 백성들. 이 모든 것이 그들에게는 훈련의 과정이었던 것이다. 하나님은 오늘도 물으신다. 너, 내게 순종할 수 있니? 라고. 출애굽기 34-36장 말씀 묵상 They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. So all the skilled craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left their work and said to Moses, 'The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD commanded to be done.. 출애굽기 31-33장 말씀 묵상 'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people. For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. (출애굽기 31장 14-15절) 하나님께서 주일을 지키게 하신 것은, 지금 돌아보면, 이스라엘 사람들을 위한 것이 아닐까 생각이 든다. 만약.. 출애굽기 28-30장 말씀 묵상 30장까지는 제사를 드리는 절차 등에 대해서 상세하게 나와 있다. 솔직히 말해서 그 내용 자체가 기억이나 마음에 남는 부분은 없다. 다만 스쳐지나가듯 눈으로만 읽으면서도 '아니 이 모든 절차를 다 지켜야 했다고?'란 생각이 든다. 그런 절차가 필요했을 것이다. 모든 과정에, 하나, 하나에 정성을 다 쏟으면서 그 과정에서 하나님을 기억하는 것이 중요했을 것이다. 그런 절차가 없었다면 성경이 없었던 당시에는 하나님을 기억할 수 없었을 것이다. 그런 내용들을 보면서 한 편으로는 우리에게 주어진 멍에는 상대적으로 얼마나 가볍고, 우리에게 성경이 있다는 것이 얼마나 감사한 일인지를 생각하게 된다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우린 그 성경도 거의 읽지 않으며 살지 않나. 부끄러워야 하고, 죄송해야 한다. 사람이라면, 하나님.. 출애굽기 24-27장 말씀 묵상 'Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give. (출애굽기 25장 2절) 하나님께서는 이제 또 모세를 따로 불러서 한참 동안 시스템을 직접 전달해주신다. 일종의 법률체계를 세워주신 것이다. 그 중에서 눈에 유난히 띄는 것은, 백성들의 마음에 따라 물질을 드리도록 하라는데 있다. 하나님은 왜 이렇게 이런저런 것을 헌금으로, 제사로 드리라고 하셨을까? 그 역시도 인간의 본성, 마음에 대한 이해가 있어야 한다고 나는 생각한다. 인간은 누구나 물질적인 것에 대한 어느 정도의 집착과 욕구, 욕망이 있다. 그것을 하나님께 드리는 .. 출애굽기 20-23장 말씀 묵상 I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.
